G.R. Clark Inc. is a family-run general grading and paving company. Since 1957, we have been serving Merced County, California. The company was started by Gordie and Rainy Clark. When Gordie first began it was with grading yards and planting lawns. The equipment used was a 1940 Ford five yard dump truck and a tractor. Due to his hard work and excellent grading skills the company grew and expanded to include dirt excavation and paving.
Since Gordie's retirement in 1992 the business is run by his son, Dennis, and daughter, Penny. Between the two of them, they have more than sixty five years experience and have a vast knowledge of dirt work and paving. All of our employees have been with us many years and are the best at what they do.
We've paved many roads, parking lots, shopping centers, commercial developments, drive ways, and sub-divisions all over Atwater and Merced, California, and the surrounding areas. We've dug everything from the Merced College swimming pool to subdivision water retention basins and paved the half mile go-kart track in Atwater, first in the 1970s and again in the 1990s. More recently, we did Buhach Colony High School, with thirty acres of grading and nine acres of paving.
We're experienced and always do our best for the customer. We want you, the customer to be happy. If you have any work to be done give us a call to see what we can do for you.
